There is always something that precedes what you are about to do. There is always something that just makes the job so much easier if only you had done something else beforehand. Winter is coming fast and the house can undergo a quick thorough cleanup, which will be so much easier if you only did some clearing up before it. House clearance should always precede the cleaning as it simply makes it seem like a breeze after that. Think about that both now, before the snow falls and drives you into a winter slumber-y mood which won’t allow you to do any cleaning, or after that, when the snow is gone and the time for the actual spring cleaning is upon you. And here is something else to think about.
Easier Kitchen Cleaning After the Clearing
Imagine yourself cleaning the kitchen. And now imagine doing it after you have taken out all the useless things you store there. And don’t fool yourself, there are a lot of those. Your drawers and cabinets are probably full of stored items which you have not used in months or years. And there is a very simple rule for kitchen appliances and equipment: if something has not been used for more than a couple of weeks, then you clearly don’t need it or lack the skill for using it. Same goes for all the figurine decorations that watch you from nearby shelves or the kitchen island. Many house clearance companies speak of kitchen clearances that have been observed by way too many Betty Boops to be a comfortable service. Surely you can do better.
Simpler Living Room Cleaning without Clutter
And then you have the hive of clutter, your living room. Remember how many items from the living room have gone up to the loft after the last loft clearance you had. And imagine how many items could go there right now, starting from old toys to spam mail to old magazines to even more decorations you bought on a whim. (It’s normal, everybody does those purchases – it’s a psychological need of sorts, so don’t worry.) Having them is not always bad, but going around them during a cleaning could be a real nightmare. Save yourself the double duty work and just use a week to clear everything out (or get professional help from house clearance company) and then dedicate a quick few hours to cleaning without the chance of bumping into everything.
Safer Working at a Clean and Cleared Up Shed
And then you have your work palace, the garden shed. It is quite the hazardous terrain, working inside a tight place full of clutter. You will only do yourself a service if you go through a rubbish clearance before doing anything there. And then you can combine it with a thorough cleaning as well to completely avoid working around dust and splinters and rusty tools, and whatever else you are storing inside the shed. Make sure that you have it both cleared and then cleaned, and your good work will be rewarded with healthy and simpler work on your next project or repair. The shed is indeed a palace, but it will be such only when maintained properly.
De-cluttering is an absolute must before any type of cleaning. There is really little point in doing any cleaning if you will just dump all the clutter you have at home on the same place, to gather the same dust, which you will have to clean up soon again. Do not lock yourself up in this routine and break the circle the first chance you have with a quick clearance so that your days are spent easier both when living and cleaning.
